Deep in space there is a place you can only dream of.....
This is my latest Celestial Art attempt. IMO it is alot better then the old stuff I used to have before my big "deletion"  Took me about 2 hrs for the scene and alot more time for the planet texture I may redo how the smaller planets are placed. I need constructive ctriticism on how to make those look like they fit and add more depth  If you like this then be sure to check out my planet tutorial [link] AND view my other work Comments

Did you just use one brush for the stars? It looks so repetitive and bleh
The lower left planet's shading isn't right, it should be more fading instead of an abrupt stop of light. The big main planet on the right side is weird looking, it looks as if it's al city lights or something  Then it looks like wrote weird things on the planet and it's glowing blue.That explosion thing I don't understand why it has that ring around it and the explosion thing doesn't add any oomf to it, it just seems as if it's taking up space because it's just a blue ball, not anything totally awe inspiring. -- If I tell you "I love you",can I keep you forever???  I don't believe it is where the smaller planets are located as much as the entire right half of the imgae under the large planet seems empty. Adding something there would make the piece feel complete.

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. |
